Stream a new song from The Early November called "A Stain on the Carpet" here. It comes from In Currents, out July 10 via Rise Records.
From the Feature"This song comes from conversations no one ever wants to have but know they have to," vocalist Ace Enders tells Spinner. "It addresses the confrontation of a serious and potentially very unpleasant situation that may happen in the future. It's about being honest and preparing yourself now for something that you may have no control over if or when it does happen."
Thomas Nassiff on 06/07/12 - 09:41 AM
The Early November recently took off on a new tour with The Wonder Years, The Swellers and Young Statues. A couple days ago, the vocalists of each of these groups - Ace Enders from TEN, Dan Campbell from TWY, Nick Diener from The Swellers, and Carmen Cirignano from Young Statues - took the time to record an acoustic cover of Semisonic's "Closing Time," which you can now watch in the replies. It's a fun cover, with all four vocalists singing to round out the song. A regular barbershop quartet, these guys. The tour continues on until June 9, and you can also see the remaining tour dates in the replies.
Thomas Nassiff on 05/29/12 - 08:02 AM
Jeff Kummer won't be playing drums for The Early November on their Midwest and West Coast tour dates. Matt Weber from Young Statues will be filling in for him, but Jeff will be back for the record release shows.

Update: Here is a statement from Jeff.
StatementBefore I get ripped for leaving tour you should all know a few things.

This is not my decision. This is not something I want. I've been part of The Early November from the start and I care about well being of that band more than a lot of people will ever know.

The fact is I have a great job that I worked my ass off for during our hiatus and I'm getting married next year. I can not throw that all away in the blink of an eye.
