Update: A statement about everything that happened, from Floyd James, can be found here.

We have our own version of March Madness this week, as we have another great premiere following up yesterday's fun. One of this site's favorite bands, Transit, will be releasing its new album, Young New England, next week. As we inch closer to April 2nd, we'd thought we give you another small taste of the Boston quintet's second album on Rise Records. The song is "Weathered Souls," and it's one of my favorite tracks on the new LP. Featuring Joe Boynton's always-honest lyrics and needling guitar riffs that won't leave your head, this song is bound to be a new fan favorite. Check it out in the replies and don't forget to pre-order Young New England here. Also, don't forget that...

PropertyOfZack sat down with Joe Boynton of Transit and talked about the evolution of his writing for the band's next album.
From The InterviewIt’s a really natural writing process. It’s like we’re writing the way we used to with Stay Home andThis Will Not Define Us. The songs don’t sound the same, but it’s the method and sequence of how we’re writing the songs. It’s a similar recipe, but it’s not coming to come out the same. Listen & Forgive was completely different. It could sound similar, but songs like “Over Your Head” and “Skipping Stone” grow as they move along. That’s what we’re trying to hone in.
