Last week, I chatted with Dan Briggs of Between the Buried and Me about their new record The Parallax II: Future Sequence, which is available October 9th via Metal Blade. In the interview, Briggs says that the band is planning to play the record in its entirety when they tour the U.S. in 2013. Check out the full interview here.
Trioscapes was originally intended as a one-off project between Between the Buried and Me bassist Dan Briggs, tenor saxophone/flutist Walter Fancourt and drummer Matt Lynch. However, the trio meshed together so well that they decided to record a full album. The result, Separate Realities, will be released on May 8th via Metal Blade Records. You can stream a 7 and a half-minute opus entitled "Wazzlejazlebof" on the band's AP.net profile. The quirky, instrumental music combines elements of progressive rock, jazz fusion and psychedelic music.

Press release in the replies.
