Into It. Over It.'s third album will be titled Standards. The album was produced by John Vanderslice (Spoon, The Mountain Goats) and written in a cabin without access to phone or internet. A nice feature with Evan Weiss can be read on Spin.
“We couldn’t sweat the small stuff,” Weiss recalls. “You’re not able to go in and tweak or micromanage little sections of the music. It helped me accept chaos in a way I couldn’t before.”

Noisey has interviewed Evan Weiss of Into It. Over It. Spoiler alert: they talk about what it means to be emo in 2014 and meeting John C. Reilly.
Talking to [Pitchfork’s] Ian Cohen, his opinion is just like, “Well you know, the records are better.” And I would say that that’s true, I think a lot of the bands involved are writing really great records now and figuring out who they want to be in the end, how they want the shit to sound. We’re all in uncharted territory.
