Radio.com is reporting Tim Lambesis is going back court to try and get his sentence reduced a year, claiming a "custody-credit" for the year he spent under house arrest.
“There will be a hearing on July 18th to determine if the time Lambesis spent on house arrest will count as credits towards his prison term,” prosecutor Claudia Grasso stated in an email.

Nick Hipa, former As I Lay Dying guitarist and current Wovenwar member, has written a post about his thoughts after the Tim Lambesis trial.
Last Friday I sat in a courtroom to support a friend. For the better part of a decade our professional and personal lives were woven in a relationship akin to family. As if family, the intention of my attendance was to publicly acknowledge the deep care and compassion I hold for this individual.

I watched as she searched for the strength to behold her transgressor for the first time in over a year since learning of his plot to have her murdered. I listened to her describe the love she once possessed for this man whom she adored, trusted, and...

As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis was sentenced to six years in jail today. Lambesis shared his story in a lengthy interview for an upcoming documentary, which you can read over at AltPress.
The first time I cheated on my wife, my interpretation of morality was now convenient for me. I felt less guilty if I decided, “Well, marriage isn’t a real thing, because Christianity isn’t real. God isn’t real. Therefore, marriage is just a stupid piece of paper with the government.” I thought of myself as super-scholarly at the time. “My academic pursuit has led me to this.” I was sincere to a certain degree, but we all hear what we want to hear to justify our actions. I interpreted the...

The guitarist for As I Lay Dying, Phil Sgrosso, has posted a response to the post released on the band's website earlier today.
This morning an update was posted over at www.asilaydying.com on the current happenings and individual futures of all the bands' members. For Jordan, Josh, Nick, Phil, management, and record label, this was an interesting first time read as all parties were oblivious to its construction, intent, and release.

Though Tim is the only one with access to the As I Lay Dying site, the rest of us have been releasing content through our personal social media accounts to reveal that we are carrying on in a new band. Our truest intentions were to make this unveiling...

As I Lay Dying have released a lengthy statement about their current situation. While the future of the band remains uncertain, the remaining members are moving forward with a new project fronted by Oh, Sleeper guitarist Shane Blay. New material from vocalist Tim Lambesis will also be surfacing in the near future.
There have been a lot of questions from fans over the past year and we'll hopefully be able to provide more answers over time. However, this update is only to address things related to AILD's future.

Originally, we said we'd update fans as soon as we knew more. We apologize for not sticking to that. It seemed best to wait until definitive news came in with a specific timeline....

Some new details on Tim Lambesis's case have surfaced, and he has switched lawyers.
Lambesis' next court date is currently scheduled for June 10th. At the bail hearing last week, Lambesis was accompanied by a new laywer, Thomas Warwick after originally being represented by Anthony Salerno. No word on why Salerno was let go, as he initially saved Lambesis from a potential life sentence. Salerno, in an interview alleged Lambesis was being set up as Lambesis' brother-in-law is a sheriff deputy. Lambesis new lawyer, Warwick claimed at last week's bail hearing that steroid use clouded Lambesis' judgement.

Tim Lambesis' (As I Lay Dying) lawyer has claimed that steroids clouded Tim's judgement (he still holds to his plea of not guilty). The bail has been lowered to $2 million.
Thomas Warwick, the musician’s lawyer, said his client had gotten into body building and eating healthy, and later began taking nutritional supplements as a paid product spokesman. At some point, he also began taking steroids, he said. “His thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use,” Warwick said.
