Tom DeLonge took to Instagram to post two clips of "#SongsWithoutAHome." Many are speculating they were meant to be Blink-182 songs. DeLonge is also hinting at an announcement on March 1.
Alex DiVincenzo on 02/01/15 - 12:17 PM
Travis Barker of Blink 182 stopped by the Kevin and Bean show on KROQ to talk about Musink, the band's issues with Tom DeLonge, and more. That can be heard here.
“I juggle a lot of things outside of Blink. I record with tons of different artists, and I always seem to still know how to prioritize Blink. I still love Blink and it’s my #1 priority over everything that I do. But it’s like when you don’t have the same passion to make that your priority as well, it makes it hard to come together as 3 people when one person doesn’t care about it.”

Serious question: How did this article get printed in The Atlantic? Of all the Blink-182 think pieces that came out over the last few days (Grantland's is pretty good), this one takes the cake as the strangest.
The truly gutting thing about the situation is that—say it aint so—we might be witnessing the break-up of one of the greatest gay love stories in American culture. Okay, kidding. Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker are not, as far as the public knows, gay. All of them have been married to women. But there have definitely been times when they pretended to be something other than strictly heterosexual.

Alternative Press has talked with Mark Hoppus of Blink-182.
We haven’t played a show with Matt yet, so it’s too soon to really say what goes beyond on that. We’re very optimistic and excited about the possibilities of continuing with Matt in some way. He’s a good friend, a great guitarist, a great singer. He has a really positive attitude. I think we’ve been friends for, what, 15 years? We don’t have anything booked beyond that, but we are hopeful and excited.

Tom DeLonge has posted a statement on Facebook. The full thing is in the replies.
And even as I watch them act so different to what I know of them to be, I still care deeply for them. Like brothers, and like old friends. But our relationship got poisoned yesterday. Never planned on quitting, just find it hard as hell to commit.

The more news that comes out regarding this Blink-182 stuff, the more painful it gets to post about it. Last night Tom DeLonge posted on Twitter that "A year ago Mark and I spent a week on the phone with managers debating parting with Travis...don't pretend there isn't more to this story" -- that tweet has since been deleted. I'm trying to think of something to bring positivity to this situation but am drawing a blank. I guess ... rank some stuff or something. As I wrote on Facebook yesterday, one of the things that first drew me to this band was that it seemed like they were all friends just having fun together and playing crappy punk rock music. That carefree attitude was what I wished...

Rolling Stone has talked with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker of Blink 182.
We're booked January 5th to go into the studio. On December 30th, we get an e-mail from Tom's manager saying that he has no interest in recording and that he wants to do his other, non-musical stuff and that he's out indefinitely. There's a flurry of e-mails going back and forth for clarification about the recording and the show and his manager sends [an e-mail] back saying, "Tom. Is. Out." Direct quote. This is the exact same e-mail we got back in 2004 when Tom went on indefinite hiatus before.

Another Update: We have received the following statement from Tom DeLonge's publicist.
Contrary to reports, Tom DeLonge has not left Blink 182. “I never quit the band,” he says. “Actually, I was on the phone discussing a possible Blink-182 event in New York City when I heard the ‘news.’ The ONLY truth here is that I have commitments that limit my availability this year.

I love Blink-182 and I’m not leaving.”

Update: Tom Delonge has made the following post on Facebook:
To all the fans, I never quit the band. I actually was on a phone call about a blink 182 event for New York City at the time all these weird press releases started coming in... Apparently those releases were...

TMZ is reporting that Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler were both arrested last month for making death threats against each other. TMZ is reporting no charges will be filed.
On December 7, the two got into a verbal fight over a reality show Travis wants to do with their 2 kids. It's surprising, but the former couple STILL live under the same roof.

Tom DeLonge has talked with NME, and says Blink-182 have "solved the puzzle" for how to release their new album.
"We've just started the conversation in the past couple of days of when/where and how to start recording," he said. "We've been kind of taking our time trying to figure out the best way to put the record out, you know. I think we just solved that puzzle a couple of weeks ago. I don’t think we have anything to prove. I think we have to just try and go into it and try to make the best album of our career and create a situation that’s really creative and conducive to that idea"
Jason Tate on 12/23/14 - 01:58 PM
Tom DeLonge recently talked with Gigwise.
I’m not totally sure how it’s going to work but the goal is to find an area or an environment that’s different and not just a normal studio to be together as were architect the songs and inspire each other in ways that we did back in that timeframe. I think if we can pull off those few things we’ll be in really really good shape. We’ve always done what we liked, and on the Untitled record there was a lot of debate where we thought our fans wouldn’t even like it, but I think we succeeded by sticking to what we wanted to do, and it turned out to be the one that the fans like the most.

Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 and Angels and Airwaves, speaking to Faster Louder:
"I tell people condoning streaming is like condoning the Chinese that are killing elephants for their tusks and carving ivory statues,” he railed. “It’s cool to put on your shelf but if you really think about what you’re doing it sucks. Streaming music is doing the same thing to artists – might not be killing ’em but it’s killing the industry. It might be cool for you as somebody that likes music but you’re not really thinking about the effect it has. We’ve got to value our art, you know?"

In a recent radio interview, Tom Delonge stated that Blink 182 have found a new partner to release their upcoming album.
We've been searching vigorously for a partner of how we're going to put that out. I literally think I got the last email last night, as far as signing this paperwork to say, "Okay, this is our partner." So, I can't announce anything yet, but next is all the scheduling of when and how, where and with whom we do it. So I think the goal is right after the holidays, we're going to be going pretty hardcore

Tom DeLonge did an interview with Diffuser.
I think when I was envisioning what this was going to be, I look up to the greats like your Disneys and Marvels and DC Comics and all those kind of intellectual property rights kind of companies, but a lot of them were unrelatable to me because I wasn’t going to do a bunch of stuff about superheroes. I wanted to be more philosophical and cerebral in some ways. So, I got really hot on the idea of creating a reoccurring character around themes of human behavior or humanity. The first one, the ‘Love’ project, was all about human consciousness and connection and losing everybody around you to realize the importance of every relationship around...

Tom DeLonge sat down with Wondering Sound to talk about Enema of the State, AVA, and more.
We [worked in] three studios in the course of three or four months. Our first record took us three days, our second record took us four to six weeks or something, and Enema of the State was a three- or four-month thing. And then the next one was six months, and the next one was a year. I remember moving around a couple times in that three-month period, but we had a lot of jokes, we felt really good — we felt like we sounded good. It was the first time we felt we sounded good, so it was exciting.
