Fall Out Boy sat down to talk with Yahoo!.
I don’t know if we can save rock ‘n’ roll. I don’t know if that’s even the point. I think the thing is, rock 'n’ roll needs to be saved from the old folks’ home. It needs to be saved from being a vision of the past. It needs to accept that there is a future, and it needs to relate to the future.

Fall Out Boy talked with Billboard:
We've been doing this band for 13, 14 whatever years. I think that challenging ourselves to do new things is important. It's hard to find new things sometimes, you know? People said this tour was going to be polarizing, but we're doing bigger numbers than we've done before, you know? I think it's probably tapping into different kids or something.

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy has penned a letter to his sons for Time Magazine's 'Letters from Dad' feature:
Boys: always take the high road, even when the low road seems easier or simpler. Let your kindness radiate and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Be yourself when it is not popular to be. Love your friends not in spite of their flaws but because of them. Bronx, I remember once asking you what your favorite color was and you said, “Red, black and the color of lightning.” Never let the world take away your creativity and divergent thinking. Be the color of lighting, be wild, and always laugh a lot. Never forget who you are.

Neal Avron talks about how he got involved with Fall Out Boy and reflects on recording From Under the Cork Tree.
I was contacted by Rob Stevenson, who was [Fall Out Boy’s] A&R guy at Island Records. Basically he told me he had this band, Fall Out Boy, and I don't believe I had specifically heard of them. He was very excited about me being involved in the record and said he thought I’d be a perfect fit and could he send me some demos from the upcoming record, which he did. They probably were on CDs at that point. I don't remember how many he sent me—maybe five, a handful—and my initial reaction was that I was not interested in doing the record. I just felt like the songs weren’t that...

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy recently talked with Purevolume.
For us, we always were amazed at how serious rock bands took themselves. We were always back in our hotel rooms laughing, because this is the best job in the world. I mean, you can take your art seriously, but you should never take yourself too seriously. So I think we also had a blessing, going away for three years. It was great for our band, because when we came back, we knew. In reality, it was three years, but it was more like six years because the Internet moves so fast. So we knew that sonically, we had to change, had to make something that reflected that. So you had to understand that the world had moved on, but at the...
