Andy Hull is on the latest episode of Matt Pryor's podcast, Nothing to Write Home About. He talks about the new project Manchester Orchestra is working on right now as a "completely alternate version of Cope," called Hope. He says they're "stripping the songs down and re-doing them." He also mentions that he's "mixing lyrics up and writing songs and melodies differently" and that it'll be "its own thing." He says it'll be released in November. He also says they will be touring on this alternate version and will be playing in old churches and venues like that. You can hear the audio starting around 48:35 on the podcast.

Andy Hull speaks with On Record about some of the themes behind Manchester Orchestra's Cope and other topics.
The lyrics for me were far more self help than self loathing, they were more about trying to get through the bullshit and kind of continue on and I think that’s something in life that everybody does in different ways and you cope in different ways and sometimes there are good ways and bad ways. I felt like when I was trying to come up with a title for the record, I’d asked people what they thought of the word cope and every single person I asked would have a different meaning, I liked that idea in the lyrics that people could interpret them in different ways from each other...

The second "Inside Kevin Devine" feature has been posted via PropertyOfZack. Jesse Lacey, Andy Hull, The God Damn Band, and many others provide commentary.
So I met Kevin eventually at an outdoor show we played together, and I think Miracle had already kind of split up, and he was this kind of crazy twitchy kid who was really good at guitar and sang solo on stage at hardcore and emo shows around New York. So then we were friends, and that was that. I don’t know how things go from there, but I do know that watching Kevin over the years, I’ve realized that while I or other musicians I know had to develop something, Kevin seemed always capable of everything.
