“Matchbook has always kind of gone with the flow. You know, music’s just sort of fallen out of the sky, our record contract with Epitaph sort of fell out of the sky, and things just sort of happened… I know we would all love to have that third record.”

Aaron Stern, former drummer of Matchbook Romance, has joined God Or Julie.
Message From AaronToday is a big day for me. I am officially announcing that I am joining forces with New York rock band, God or Julie. After Matchbook Romance broke up, it really hit home how difficult it is to find individuals who all share a similar elevated vision of music. When I was introduced to God or Julie, my hopes to continue the artistic progress and musical success that I had with Matchbook Romance were restored. Go to any of the links below to check us out, add us as a myspace friend and join us at some of our soon to be announced shows.
Much love,
-Aaron Stern

Matchbook Romance has gone on an indefinite hiatus.
Myspace BulletinDear fans and friends,

Today is a sad day. Because it is on this day that we, the members of Matchbook Romance, have decided to part ways and go on an indefinite hiatus. This was not at an easy decision for us to come to, as it seems it's taken months for the words to even form on the tips of our tongues. Its a decision that we thought we would never have to make, but unfortunately, after 5 years its a decision that best suits our situations.

We're going to miss all of our adoring fans, and friends that we've made on this adventure. We thank all of you for letting this thing we started into your hearts and for...
