The Skate and Surf Festival has moved from Plaza Green at iPlay America in Freehold, NJ to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. Attendees will have access to the theme park with their admission tickets. Also, we can confirm today that Mayday Parade will play the festival as "Bob's Special Guest." Truth Or Consequence is the result of when Brooks Betts and Jeremy Lenzo of Mayday Parade team up with Alexandra Kees and friends to start a folk/indie band. The final product is an incredible concoction of seasoned musicians creating an amazing debut EP. Akin to Brighten or the later work of the now defunct 1997, this is sure to turn heads. We're giving you the world premiere of Truth Or Consequence, so listen to the opening track "She Smiles" on the group's AP.net profile and leave your thoughts in the replies.

Brooks and Jeremy of Mayday Parade have announced a new side project - Truth or Consequence. We will release their first single on December 3rd so stay tuned for that!

In a recent interview with PropertyOfZack, Mayday Parade is aiming to record in February or March for an early-fall release. They are currently label-free but will be signing a deal in the near future.

We haven’t as a band come together yet, but I have a lot of ideas that I’m really excited about. We all have ideas. We’ve started to show each other some of them, but once we get done with touring we’ll get together and start working on new stuff. Hopefully we can go to the studio in February or March. We’ll have to see how it goes. That’s the plan for now.

Anberlin and Mayday Parade have both teamed up with Downtime and introduced new limited edition shirts to help raise money for charities they support (There With Care and Falling Whistles, respectively). Last fall, Downtime partnered with Manchester Orchestra and created a shirt that benefited Pablove; Downtime will be adding more bands and shirts every couple weeks.

Mayday Parade will be on the next Punk Goes Pop, which will be released later this year.

We aren’t planning on releasing any singles anytime soon but we are planning to be a part of Fearless Record’s newest Punk Goes Pop series. That should be out later this year.

In a new interview, Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade discusses how Anywhere But Here was a product of their major label's influence, as well as their new album that will be coming out this fall.

When we made that album there was a lot of outside influence from the label and we did a lot of co-writes for that CD and our producer had a lot more to do with everything and had a heavier hand in everything. We kind of let it go that way because we didn’t want to rock the boat too much and we didn’t really want to make Atlantic mad. In the end, it turned out that we were recording a bunch of songs that we didn’t care about as much or love as much, and I think that kind of comes...

We’re all definitely stoked on the album as a whole, but there’s one track that’s generally the most well liked. It’ll probably be the first song on the CD, but we can’t say that for sure yet. The track name is tentatively titled “Oh Well, Oh Well”.
