The Tiger TankEP has been released on iTunes today. Tiger Tank, along with members of Park, will be playing a show with The Forecastand The Sun and The Sea (ex-The Graduate) on July 1st in St. Louis, MO at The Gramophone.
Alex Haycraft (Park/ex Just Surrender) is working on a website for artists, fans, radio stations, venues, etc. called Get Heard Music. All genres welcome! The website aims to help independent artists spread their music and stay connected with other artists and fans. The website will be free for all artists - promo spots are open for any artists but are on a first come first serve basis. Promos will change once a week. Ladd Mitchell from Park is currently in the pre-production stage of recording for his new project, Tiger Tank, which will hopefully have an EP out toward the end of the year.
Park will be playing a reunion show at the Hilton in Springfield, Illinois on November 6th. They will be joined by The Graduate and Brandon Carnes Band.
Park have posted a trailer for their forthcoming DVD, Forming an End, which is scheduled to see release this October. The DVD will include footage from the group's final performance, which took place this May in Springfield, Illinois, as well as a considerable amount of bonus footage. Park's new album (produced by Cameron Webb) is going to be out in mid-June and is titled Building A Better Pirate. If you're expecting to hear "It Wont Snow Where You're Going" part 2, you may be in for a surprise. The subject matter is so much more then just relationship songs. In fact, there is even a song for Andy Wildrick of The Junior Varsity.
On January 28th, Park finished recording their new album. According to the producer Cameron Webb, 11 songs were completed and the album is filled with "gems". Once the band arrives home, they will begin playing some midwest shows before heading out on a full U.S. tour. More details on the tour will be announced soon.
