The debut symphony from Casey Crescenzo, Amour & Attrition, has earned the number one spots atop Billboard's Traditional Classical and Top Classical Albums Charts, number two on the Classical Albums Chart, and number seven on the Heatseeker Albums Chart. Cave & Canary Goods, an Equal Vision Records' imprint founded by The Dear Hunter’s Casey Crescenzo, signed Naive Thieves. The band will be out on tour with From Indian Lakes. The Riverside, CA-based indie outfit will release their debut full-length album, Vámonos, on April 29. The album was recorded with Crescenzo. The band's first song released from the album - "Anxiété" - is available now as a free download on Bandcamp.

Well, I thought it was sooner than it was, but I was told (and I forgot about this) when I was doing The Color Spectrum, I did a living room tour on my way out to start recording one of the EPs. At one of the acoustic shows, somebody asked me something and my response was, “I’d really love to do a symphony.” It’s always kicked around in my head, but I’ve always been aware of my ignorance. I always knew that, “Ok, now’s not the time. I don’t know enough now.” Finally, during the The Color Spectrum show that we played, I had to force myself...

You can continue to pledge money to the project throughout the fall, with remaining incentives including limited edition double gatefold vinyl releases of the final recording, autographed and handwritten score books, private house concerts and more.
Just three weeks after Casey Crescenzo, frontman of The Dear Hunter, launched a crowdfunding project to record his debut symphony, the project reached full funding on Friday (Sept 6), thanks to pledges from more than 1,100 fans. Crescenzo is currently completing the symphony, and will travel to Brno, Czech Republic, in November to record it with the Brno...

The Dear Hunter have added a 2nd NYC show with a string quartet. It will be Sept. 5th at Highline Ballroom. Also, the band will stream a portion of one of their final rehearsals for the string quartet tour on Sunday, September 1. More info in the replies.
