We're giving away test pressings of The Format's Snails EP 12" vinyl as well as their "Time Bomb" 7" vinyl. We have one test pressing of each signed by both Nate and Sam; these are rare and not for sale anywhere. Arizona State University's Homecoming concert featuring acoustic performances by The Format, Straylight Run, and What Laura Says Thinks and Feels will be held on October 24th. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 10th.

The Format have tentatively titled their next full-length release Holy Ghosts. The group are currently writing and arranging for the aforementioned effort, which is expected to hit shelves next year courtesy of The Vanity Label.

As if the DVD release wasn't enough! On November 20th we will release Rarities and B-Sides, a compilation of hard-to-find and unreleased tracks. The 18 track album will be available digitally for $7.99 and a one-time 1000 piece run of the CD's with very special packaging will available free for all orders over $30 here (beginning November 19th). According to an announcement Nate made at the LA show tonight, The Format will be recording their new album after this current tour is over.

You can now get The Format's Dog Problems on vinyl and pre-order their new DVD on their website.

The Format's full album download offer is over now, and it looks like there were about 40,000 full album downloads as well as 29,000 individual track downloads. Now that you all have downloaded the album, however, it's time to really support the band: See them on tour and/or buy their merch.

The All-American Rejects' DVD, Tournado, was released today. It features performances and other goodies from their recent tour with The Starting Line, Motion City Soundtrack and The Format. According to Wikipedia, the band is heading into the studio sometime this summer to record their third full-length.

"Alternative magician" Ollie Wilde will be opening for The Format on their tour on the 7/18 to 7/31 dates. You can find more info about him on his myspace and the bands that he has opened for in the past.

To add on to the earlier set-list post from last night's Format DVD-taped show at the Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles, the new song "Swans" will be in the new Jon Heder movie Moving McAllister, so expect to hear it much more in the future. Also, the DVD will be out later this year and includes guest appearances by Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World and members of Limbeck, Steel Train, Honorary Title and Reubens Accomplice.
