Mr. Jitters (Dylan from The Matches) is releasing his new EP tomorrow and today we're giving away a free download of a new tune called "Be Alright." Mr. Jitters will be hitting the road with Maniac and Foxy Shazam soon, and Shawn Harris did the artwork (which you can see in the replies) for the new EP. Enjoy.
Bird by Bird (Jonathan Devoto, formerly of The Matches' new band) has posted a new song, "Where Did You Go?" on myspace. The band has also made three acoustic demos available for free download on their Bandcamp account.
As The Matches play what could be their last shows this weekend, Oh No Not Stereo have prepared a little homage to the group in the form of an acoustic cover of "Yankee In A Chip Shop". Head to the band's AP.net Profile to stream or download it.

A few days late on this, but Shawn Harris (The Matches) has recently updated his blog, with pictures from the video shoot for the band's second single, "Yankee in a Chip Shop." A Band In Hope is out now, courtesy of Epitaph Records.
Update: Apparently Shawn was kind of kidding when he told a user this. They'll be recording, demoing, but don't plan to have an album out this year. Who woulda known?
Last night in DC, Shawn Harris said that after the AP Tour, The Matches plan to go back into the studio to record a follow-up to A Band In Hope with hopes to have it out by the end of the year. The new songs were described as "weird" as the third album but as catchy as the first.
We caught up with The Matches a few weeks back while they filmed their video for "Wake the Sun." Catch a glimpse inside the filming and concept behind the piece in the replies.
Happy Birthday to Justin San Souci of The Matches! He turns 26 today and his band's album, A Band In Hope, is now available for purchase everywhere. What a week!
The Matches wrote in to let us know how the debut live performance of three new songs (sort of) went last night. If you want to be one of the first to hear these songs, go see them on their current tour with Sherwood.
Since the full tracklist for A Band in Hope was accidentally released, we have redesigned the contest for the last two entries. Instead of guessing the track title based on an image, we will give you the track title and YOU get to design the image. Submit your images in the replies to this thread and the winner will be chosen by the The Matches' own Shawn Harris. The track title is "Yankee In a Chip Shop."
