In light of this news, after years of writing and waiting to produce a new record, some of the members of Saosin have decided to end our 13 year relationship for questionable reasons. This was a shock to me. Even though all of this happened a few months ago, I’m still processing it. I’m sure I’ll discuss this in greater detail at a later time. One thing I can be sure of is that I could not and would not have done anything differently over the past years. The shows were some of the best we have ever played. It truly seemed as if everyone was happy and positivity was at an all-time...
Nothing can ever change, or detract from the magic of the relationships that helped create the music that is The Used. For these beautiful memories, we will be forever grateful. As a result of mutual understanding, Quinn will not be returning to the band and Justin Shekoski will be taking his place. The journey so far has been amazing and we continue to feel very positive about what lies ahead in the future. As always, can't wait to see you on the road!
The Used have been around 15 years. That's longer than you've probably been alive (jk, we're all old now). To celebrate, the band are going on a pretty big tour around the US and Europe. The band will do two nights at each place, playing Self-Titled on Night 1 and In Love and Death on Night 2. Oh, and they're also releasing Live and Acoustic at the Palace on April 1st. ALL the details can be found right here.
Lead singer of post-hardcore veterans The Used, Bert McCracken has joined Channel [V] as a full-time presenter. McCracken, who moved to Australia from the States a couple of years ago, had previously hosted a Soundwave special last year for the Foxtel channel, but has now been promoted to a much bigger role. Model Bambi Northwood-Blyth and DJ Generik, real name Tyson O’Brien, were also revealed as new hosts for the channel today.
We are saddened to announce that Quinn will be taking a temporary hiatus from the band for the next year. Quinn is a vital part of the group and we wish him the best in his upcoming endeavors and look forward to the day he rejoins us on the road. We are thrilled, however, to share that Justin Shekoski of Saosin will be filling in for Quinn as we hit the road this year! Justin has been a close friend to all of us for many years and will help make this tour a memorable one!
