All praise. Riot Fest finally kicks off in Chicago today at 4pm local time, and AP.net will be on site providing coverage each day. Refresh yourself on today's lineup/set times and check out the highly anticipated "food lineup" in the replies (they ripped off the Coachella lineup flier – it's pretty funny). Also, feel free to use this thread as an open discussion for all things Riot Fest today and keep up with our Riot coverage all weekend.

Everything we've been doing over the last couple of months - from our guides to our playlists - have been leading up to this weekend's Riot Fest in Chicago. So there is only one thing left to do (other than, you know, attending the damn thing!) and that's to release our "must-see" acts at this weekend's festival. Since it's packed with many great bands, I asked Thomas Nassiff to count down his five most anticipated acts in addition to mine. You can check those out in the replies. You can find more information about Riot Fest at their website. Have fun this weekend and be safe!

Today we're happy to announce that AP.net and PropertyOfZack will partake in an unofficial post-Riot Fest night at Red Door in Chicago this Friday. The night will feature a playlist chosen by Zack and I, so rest assured that the tunes will be good unless you hate everything we like. You can see all the information on Facebook; our playlist will start at midnight (one hour following Fall Out Boy's set). Since a lot of forum members have been asking about a community meet-up in Chicago, we figured this would be a great time to invite everyone to come together, listen to some good music and hang out following Riot Fest's first day. Hope to see everyone out there! Also: Uber will be offering...

Say Anything won't be performing at Riot Fest this year due to a medical issue with an unnamed member of the band. A statement from Max Bemis is below; we send our best wishes along. Riot Fest set times were posted yesterday.
Hey y’all, with one of our members dealing with some pressing and unavoidable medical issues, we regretfully have to pull out of Riot Fest. Suffice to say we are bummed. Our sincere apologies to anyone hoping to see us. Meanwhile, you guys enjoy the great line up at Riot this year and we promise to make it up when we tour our new record in 2014.

PropertyOfZack has posted a new Perspective on how Riot Fest and co-founder Mike Petryshyn went about creating their Chicago lineup. POZ is calling it the "best festival lineup we'll ever see," so you can go ahead and debate that in the replies. Also, tickets are on the Riot website and all of our Riot Fest 2013 coverage is here.

We're continuing our coverage of Riot Fest 2013 this week in a slightly oddball way. You won't find a list of things to do or bands to watch in this feature, but instead, we're bringing you something more applicable to your daily life. If you follow @RiotFest on Twitter, you already know that whoever manages their account is an American hero. Couple this with the fact that social media is very serious business these days – no, really, the Internet is super serious – and it only made sense to ask this mystery tweeter to compile a "How To Tweet" clinic for us. Also, remember to pick up your Riot Fest tickets for Chicago and Denver if you haven't yet.

The Replacements reunited for their first show in 22 years this weekend at Riot Fest in Toronto. It was a pretty big deal. You can check out some videos from the performance in the replies, along with their full setlist. Also, be sure to catch them at Riot Fest in Chicago or Denver, and keep an eye out for our continuing Riot Fest coverage.

Riot Fest 2013 is rolling up into Toronto this weekend (August 24th and 25th) and we decided it would be fun to give away two pairs of two-day passes. Does that excite you? The two day festival will feature acts like The Replacements, A Day To Remember, Every Time I Die, Best Coast, and more. Details on how to win one of the pairs can be found in the replies. If you don't win, don't fret too much - you can still purchase single day tickets.

As part of our continuing Riot Fest coverage, today we've got a 70-song playlist for you featuring the bands performing at the September festival. We used the Chicago lineup to curate our playlist, which can be found on Spotify and Rdio. You can see the tracklisting in the replies and check out the playlist, maybe while you peruse our Riot Fest coverage so far (including our Riot Fest For Dummies guide in case you missed that). Remember, you can pick up tickets on the festival's website.

Riot Fest Chicago and Denver are just over a month away (Toronto is even sooner!), and to kick off our coverage of the festival, we're bringing you our "Riot Fest for Dummies" guide. We've basically made a feature that serves to provide a step-by-step process for getting yourself to any of the three Riot Fest destinations. This is nothing that you couldn't find with some online searches, so the value in this guide is the convenience factor. Check it out in the replies and let us know if you're planning on heading out to any of the upcoming Riot weekends.
