Yeah, I was there, and it was sick. Fireworks replaced Shai Hulud as the opener, and I love them, so that was sweet. Except no one knew the words or who they were or anything, but whatever. SYG is one of my favorite bands live because they have the best pits. During Goonies Never Say Die, the singer threw the mic out into the crowd and my friend and I caught it and did the gang vocal part at the end. That was pretty awesome. Bayside was actually a bit weak. Like, they have a bit less energy than all the other bands, so it was a bit weird, and their bass was really loud. But they still played an amazing set. And of course NFG is fucking amazing. They can do no wrong.
Yeah, the Media scene's kinda lame. West Chester's where its at, but there are some pretty sweet bands from Aston or Media. Of course, there are my two bands (www.myspace.com/exitemergencyband and www.myspace.com/chaostheorymusiq), Factors of Four (www.myspace.com/factorsoffour), The Danger Os (www.myspace.com/thedangeros), The Domino Theory (they broke up, but some of them started a new band, which doesnt have a myspace) (www.myspace.com/thedominotheory), Play To Win (www.myspace.com/playtowinpa), and Team Goldie (www.myspace.com/teamgoldie).
There are so few venues around here though. Thats always been a problem, but theres this place on State Street in Media called the Coffee Club that has shows on saturday nights, and of course theres CN. But West Chester has the best venues around here without actually going into philly or jersey.
I love Bayside so much. Were you at the NFG/Bayside show a couple weeks ago?
