Im starting my second year in cello playing. I can play 4 songs from the Lord of the Rings, im trying to figure out how to play the Johannes Sebastian Bach Cello and Piano arioso,
my friends mum was the principal cellist in the sydney symphony orchestra and is one of the best celllists in Australia, one of my best friends is a grade 8 in cello playing.
I taught myself how to do vibrato and im only preliminary grade.
Ok, now i understand the definition of 'contingent'.
So what baroque musicians do you like? i like Mozart. hehe

The dictionary definition, as I was using "contingent," would be "any one of the representative groups composing an assemblage." Or, more practically, you could say that a contingent is a smaller group within a group that shares something in common. We are the cello contingent (the smaller group) among AP.net (the larger group) because we have something in common that the other members of AP don't...if that made any sense. It's sort of hard to explain.

i can also play bass guitar but i play cello more.. a lot more,, i havent been playing lately coz i partially dislocated my collar bone... yay! cello 'contingent'. Whats a contingent? please do tell.

I am incredibly tired. I stayed up till 6 last night for no reason whatsoever, and surprisingly, it's taking its toll. I shall drown it in the newfound joy of Neutral Milk Hotel.

The thread seemed a bit...gushing. Perhaps overenthusiastic. If you like Green Day, or Billie Joe Armstrong, hey, that's great. But when most of the forum regulars see that a 13-year-old girl -- and that already is all you could possibly need to be looked down upon -- started a thread about a fairly popular band in the alt-pop-punk scene that was somewhat over-exuberant...Well. They had a ball. My advice on that end is that when making posts, make sure the spelling and punctuation works, and try not to start a thread if you can find another one that would work. I'm sure Green Day has an official thread. That might have worked better.
