hey soupy, i'm a really big fan and wanted to say congratulations on the new recording coming out, local man and don't let me cave in sound amazing and i just wanted to say how much i appreciate the work your whole band puts into your songs. Discovering your band in high school was probably my only real memorable moment from it and your band, especially The Upsides really did change my life, and from everything to your songs and even your interviews i think you're a really inspiring dude. best wishes, jesse.

Soupy(: The Upsides is one of my favorite albums. So easy to relate to and it helps me get through everything. In love with your new song as well... Haha I wrote the lyrics to "Washington Square Park" on my hand and down my arm yesterday. Song really helps... and the lyrics to "Local Man Ruins Everything" are still written down my leg today (written in Sharpie. You might get this a lot, but The Upsides is seriously, one of the greatest albums I've ever had the joy of owning. I found the CD at really bad part of my life with my parents getting a divorce, my girlfriend breaking up with me, and starting to lose a lot of my best friends. This CD has helped me more than probably anything. Some of the lyrics, I hear them, and its like you looked in on my life, took notes and sang it. I just wanted to say thank you for creating probably my favorite album of all time.
